Military Service Tribute

Plaque

Our paver.

It seems to be styled after the big Setauket rock.

I assume that was intentional.

Dr. Casciano - Superindentent of schools.

Margot Garant - Port Jefferson Village Mayor.

Christine Austen - P.J.H.S. Principal.

Reid Biondo - Class President.

Veterans at Memorial

I see bricks in the picture but I don't know if any of the engraved bricks have been placed.

This is a note we got from Bill Pellenz about a Military Service Tribute walkway at the H.S. Our class is not working on this but you may partake if you like.

We are trying to send the literature to as many alumni as possible. We will be financing the project with this money as we can't use any tax monies. If you could forward the information to other classes we would greatly appreciate it

I'm sure your classmates probably have brothers and/or sisters in other classes that could help spread the word for our cause. The bricks could be for your own military service or relatives, friends, classmates service or just alumni wishing to help with a brick with their name or a friend's and class of date, it doesn't even have to be military related.

My class of '66 had over 60 veterans and your class had many more students than mine. I'm attaching a photo of a brick walk located in Sound Beach that the SB Civic Association had constructed in 2009 that I had proposed to them. Check out the variety of wording styles.

Hopefully, the general public should see articles in the Times, Beacon Record and Newsday in the coming days. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me, 631-922-3773. You may also know my sister Pat from your class.
